You can backup and restore the data on your handheld devices. 3uTools creates and stores backup files for you to use to restore your iDevice. You can manage your list of backups by deleting unneeded files, setting passwords, etc.
A window will appear to let you choose whether you want to back up the data to the PC, manage the backup password for the device, or edit the backup list. The recovery mode can be used to put the backed-up iOS files on your handheld: ‘Restore Data’. There are customizable options at the bottom of the screen: ‘Customized Backup’ and ‘Customized Restore’.
There are limitations to the backup mode. You cannot back up ‘Health’ reports, iCloud photos, iTunes media, ‘Keychain’ content, ‘Activity History’ information, touch ID settings, and Apple Pay data. You can click on the ‘What’s Backup / Restore?’ link in the upper right corner of the UI to get detailed information about different statuses.
The amount of time needed for the backups and restores will depend on how much information the files contain. You can access the backup and restore buttons within the ‘iDevice’ tab beneath the image and within the ‘Toolbox’ section in the first row.
What is the use of 3uTools?
3uTools gives you a detailed overview of your connected iOS device when you launch the program. You can see a high-quality image of your iPad, iPhone, or iPod. There is important device information listed on the right side that tells you the iOS version, serial number, and battery percentage, etc. You can tell whether your handheld is jailbroken or not.
The hard disk capacity bar shows you the categories that are taking up storage space on the iDevice. You can see the number of GB that have been used and the total GB that are available above the percentage bar.
There is a list of items on the left side of the ‘iDevice’ tab that lets you view the iOS’s info, apps, photos, music, ringtones, videos, book, UDisk, data, files, and common tools. The upper portion of the UI has an icon bar that includes the ‘iDevice’, ‘Apps’, ‘RT & WP’, ‘Flash & JB’, ‘Toolbox’, and ‘Tutorials’. ‘RT & WP’ stands for ringtones and wallpapers.
You can control the majority of the commands from within the ‘Toolbox’ category: manage files, transfer data, erase all data, stop iOS updates, etc. The ‘Flash & JB’ area lets you flash and jailbreak your iPad or iPhone. You can choose whether you want to flash or jailbreak the iOS accessory in the left panel.
3uTools recommends that you have a backup of your data before you flash or jailbreak the devices. You can complete both modes in one click by pressing the blue button in the bottom right corner of the screen. You will be able to watch the progress in the user interface.
Is 3uTools for Mac?
While 3uTools does work with Apple products, the software is not available for Mac operating systems. You can use the program on Windows PCs with iOS portable devices for free. The app is relatively lightweight and does not take up a lot of storage space on PCs.
How can I change my location on iPhone with 3uTools?
3uTools offers a virtual location mode that lets you imitate a different address. You can skip region restrictions in video games with this feature. The ‘VirtualLocation’ button is in the ‘Toolbox’ tab. You will need to type the latitude and longitude of the preferred location and press the ‘Modify virtual location’ button to simulate a new position.
You can recover your current location by tapping on the ‘Restore true location’ button. The restoration requires you to reboot your portable device.
